'Tis the season for ALL E-Hawks to have what they need for a great Holiday meal 🥘🎄🎁
Last month, Mrs. Bonner applied for the "Ignite the Spirit" grant through Iowa Select Farms and was awarded four cases of 5lb. pork loins and $500 to use towards Holiday meals!
Holiday meal bags are open to all E-Hawk students/families, grades PreK-12th. Details of when and where to pick up are below.

Due to the current road conditions and with more icy precipitation projected to fall through the day, the wrestling tournament that was scheduled to be held in Emmetsburg today, 12/14/2024, is CANCELLED for this year. We will try again next year, have a safe weekend.
WOW what a fun-filled day with all K-12 E-Hawk students and staff in our first ever district wide Holiday Celebration! Students and staff members were mixed into various groups in which they had lunch, made crafts, read books, and played bingo with. No better way to kick off the Holiday season than to share in one big celebration together! 🎄🎁

Basketball at SEV (Gowrie) for tonight, 12/13/24, has to be Rescheduled due to the weather. The current rescheduled date is December 19th, pending officials can be found. Event schedule will be on BOUND.
The Bob Roethler Wrestling tournament scheduled for Saturday, December 14th at Emmetsburg High School is going to be DELAYED to a 1:00 pm start. This will put weigh-ins at 11:00 am and doors open to fans after weigh-ins have concluded. We will continue to evaluate the situation with weather and post any updates on BOUND and our Social Media outlets.

Thanks to Iowa Trust for inviting our Ag Teacher, Mr. VerMeer, and the Ag Leadership Class to a presentation at The Shores today given by Steve Johnson. Steve served as the Farm Management Specialist in Central Iowa for Iowa State University Extension and Outreach for 21 years, retiring in early 2021. He presented on managing tight crop profit margins.

As winter approaches, here’s a reminder of our procedures for school delays and cancellations. ❄️🚨
The safety of our students and staff is our top priority when making these decisions. Families can sign up for alerts through the JMC app, and community members can stay updated via district social media or local radio and television stations.
If school is delayed on a Friday, the early release schedule will be canceled. Students will dismiss at the regular time of 3:26 p.m.

West Elementary Student Council's Food Drive is halfway through—one week down, and one week to go! 🕒
✨ Help us make a difference by donating non-perishable food items. The class that donates the most wins an awesome pizza party! 🍕🎉
All donations will be delivered by our Student Council to the Palo Alto County Outreach Center Food Pantry through Upper Des Moines.
