A dominant performance at the conference meet last week from Rachel Schany, bringing home 4 event titles:
• High Jump – Champion
• Long Jump – Champion
• 800m Run – Champion
• 400m Run – Champion
Outstanding all-around performance across all four events.

Earlier today, the Emmetsburg Community School District was notified by the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Department of an incident that occurred in a neighboring school district.
Our schools were not directly affected by this situation. In accordance with our Emergency Operating Procedures and in consultation with law enforcement, it was determined that a lockdown was not warranted.
Out of an abundance of caution, the Emmetsburg City Police Department stationed undercover state officers at both school buildings. We appreciate the support of our law enforcement partners and their proactive presence throughout the day.
At this time, there is no known threat to Emmetsburg CSD students, staff, or facilities. Our schools are safe, and classes and school activities are continuing as normal.
The safety and wellbeing of our students and staff is our number one priority. We will continue to monitor the situation, follow our established safety protocols, and remain in communication with law enforcement.
