Attendees will have the opportunity to tour West and see the issues our students and staff face every day, and learn more about the measures on the November ballot for ECSD.
We would use these funds to build a new elementary school and reimagine West as a childcare facility. More details are available at https://www.emmetsburgbond.org.

On November 4, 2025, district residents will vote on a $25.62 million general obligation bond referendum that would support the construction of a new elementary school.
These funds would also allow the district to move forward with plans to reimagine West so it can fulfill other needs in our community. Under this proposal:
➡️The oldest portions of West would be demolished.
➡️The south addition would be repurposed as part of an agreement with the YMCA for before- and after-school care.
➡️All-day childcare would be added in the future.
➡️ECSD will maintain ownership of the campus and the gym will be used for athletics and activities.
You can learn more about the challenges at West and the solutions that are possible with an approved bond by visiting https://www.emmetsburgbond.org.

The event begins at 6:00pm and will be an opportunity to see the facility challenges at the school and learn about the district’s plan to build a new elementary school and reimagine the West campus.
More information is available at https://www.emmetsburgbond.org.

Bond funds would allow the district to build a new facility to replace West Elementary School, and repurpose West as a community daycare center.
With an approved bond measure, property taxpayers would see an estimated impact of $1.59 per $1,000 of taxable property value. This would result in an increase of approximately $15.08 per month on a home worth $250,000.
