Three teachers tied in December votes, so each have earned awards! Mr. Bonner, Mr. Klaus, and Mr. Vermeer, you each make a positive impact daily for each of our students. Thank you for all you do!
Our staff member of the month also doubles as a student! Mr. Dylan Leuer works with custodial staff and ensures all E-Hawks have a clean and safe space to learn every single day.

What an incredible effort by the West Elementary Student Council! This afternoon, we proudly donated 1,568 items to the Upper Des Moines Food Pantry. A huge THANK YOU to our students, staff, families, and community members who generously contributed to this cause.
Special congratulations to Mrs. Schmitt’s class, who won the pizza party by donating an amazing 203 items!

'Tis the season for ALL E-Hawks to have what they need for a great Holiday meal 🥘🎄🎁
Last month, Mrs. Bonner applied for the "Ignite the Spirit" grant through Iowa Select Farms and was awarded four cases of 5lb. pork loins and $500 to use towards Holiday meals!
Holiday meal bags are open to all E-Hawk students/families, grades PreK-12th. Details of when and where to pick up are below.

Due to the current road conditions and with more icy precipitation projected to fall through the day, the wrestling tournament that was scheduled to be held in Emmetsburg today, 12/14/2024, is CANCELLED for this year. We will try again next year, have a safe weekend.


WOW what a fun-filled day with all K-12 E-Hawk students and staff in our first ever district wide Holiday Celebration! Students and staff members were mixed into various groups in which they had lunch, made crafts, read books, and played bingo with. No better way to kick off the Holiday season than to share in one big celebration together! 🎄🎁
