For more than 70 years, West Elementary has been a source of pride in our community and has successfully educated generations of students. However, the age, condition, and configuration of West make it difficult for our students and staff to engage in 21st century learning.
On November 4, 2025, district residents will vote on a $25.62 million general obligation bond referendum that would support the construction of a new elementary school.
These funds would also allow the district to move forward with plans to reimagine West so it can fulfill other needs in our community. Under this proposal:

Bond funds would allow the district to build a new facility to replace West Elementary School, and repurpose West as a community daycare center.
With an approved bond measure, property taxpayers would see an estimated impact of $1.59 per $1,000 of taxable property value. This would result in an increase of approximately $15.08 per month on a home worth $250,000.

To improve traffic flow during pick-up, drop-off, and school events, the district is updating the high school parking lot exit process:
➡️ South drive: turn south
➡️ North drive: turn north
➡️ Circle drive: turn left or continue straight onto 2nd Street
These changes will help reduce congestion and keep everyone moving safely and smoothly. New signage will be installed soon as a reminder. 🚗
