A $29.75 million general obligation bond for Emmetsburg CSD is on the ballot. If it’s approved, funds would be used to construct a new PK-4 school to replace West Elementary.

It’s Emotional Intelligence Awareness Month! Want to boost your EQ? Practice self-awareness. 🧘
Take a few minutes each day to reflect on how you respond to different emotions and situations. This can help you better manage your reactions in the future.

Quick reminder: There’s no school on Friday, October 25. We’ll see our students again on Monday! 🙂

If the bond referendum is approved on Tuesday, November 5, Emmetsburg CSD would move forward with the construction of a new PK-4 school to replace West Elementary.
West would transition to become an Early Learning Center serving the community’s youngest children. This would include the potential demolition of the building’s oldest portion and updates to remaining space, using a portion of state one-cent sales tax revenue that ECSD receives.
The district would retain ownership of the Early Learning Center and daycare space would be leased on site. The district would also continue to maintain and use the facility’s gymnasium, offices, and commons area.
