On Monday, the Emmetsburg CSD 5th-12th graders were visited by Thomas Valles. Thomas is known for being one member of the cross country team in Disney's movie McFarland USA. Thomas shared his inspirational story and his struggles throughout his youth with the students and staff. He also took time to visit with the students and will hopefully be back to train with the cross country athletes later this week. Thomas was sponsored by the Palo Alto County Health System and the Care Connection of Northern Iowa.
